premier flicker

Hi there

I have a project in Adobe Premier. The frames have varying degrees of brightness (a result of an el-cheapo transfer from super8 to video, where the super8 quality was ropey in the first place) and the quality is bad - I have already gone through the timeline frame at a time and removed all the totally white frames, but the project still flickers quite badly, (I think as a result of this, it drops a lot of frames). Does anyone know of a filter or a download that will help remove the flicker, (say average out the brightness over all the frames) ???

Just a thought but why not export it as a film strip into photoshop and use an automatic fix in the filter menu ?

thanks marti-c, sounds timeconsuming, but Ill give it a shot for the worst bits.
